Above 8 mm we cut with O₂ — faster, but the edge carries a dark oxide film. Say if it's getting powder coated; we blast it first.

N₂ — the clean edge Silver, paint-ready edge on stainless, aluminium and thin steel.
O₂ — thick mild steel Faster above 8 mm; leaves a dark oxide film we blast before coating.
