What is Anodizing?

Anodizing is an electrochemical process that creates an aluminum oxide (Al2O3) layer directly on the aluminum surface. Unlike paint or plating, the anodized layer is not an external coating but an integral part of the base metal, so it does not peel, chip, or flake.
